About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, integrate, modify, test, and debug embedded flight software
  • Review, analyze, and translate customer software requirements
  • Build embedded systems software for specialized hardware
  • Integrate embedded software with hardware components
  • Analyze, monitor, and improve embedded software efficiency and stability
  • Test and debug software for embedded devices and systems
  • Drive software execution to deliver products on-cost and on-schedule
  • Ensure satellite and payload software safety, assurance, quality, and engineering excellence
  • Produce design and test documentation and artifacts, including program CDRLs
  • Conduct Cyber Vulnerability Analysis for satellite vehicle processing platforms
  • Design and implement cyber monitoring algorithms
  • Design and write tools and processes for configuration automation and workflow improvement
  • Interface with software and hardware development, Systems Engineering, Product Security Engineering, and Testbed Engineering teams
  • Work with a technically diverse user community and multidisciplinary systems and software teams
  • Lead software design, integration, testing, debugging, project management, and team performance evaluation at the senior level

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Secret clearance; U.S. Government requirements include U.S. Citizenship
  • U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
  • 2+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real-time or non-real-time system
  • 2+ years of experience in software development using C, C++, Java, or Python
  • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through Formal Qualification
  • Experience with GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Experience in embedded real-time software development
  • Experience with Wireshark or other network analysis tools and debuggers
  • Experience automating software builds, unit tests, and integration tests using a DevOps tool chain
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Must complete the CodeVue technical assessment
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Must be willing to work 100% onsite at El Segundo, CA or Mountain View, CA
