About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, integrate, modify, test, and debug software integrated into embedded devices and systems
- Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements for embedded software products
- Build and write embedded systems software for specialized hardware
- Integrate embedded software with hardware components
- Analyze, monitor, and improve embedded software efficiency and stability
- Drive software execution to deliver products on cost and schedule
- Ensure satellite and payload software safety, assurance, quality, and engineering excellence
- Produce design and test documentation and artifacts, including program CDRLs
- Conduct Cyber Vulnerability Analysis for multiple satellite vehicle processing platforms
- Design and implement cyber monitoring algorithms
- Design and write custom tools and processes for configuration automation and workflow improvement
- Interface with systems, software, hardware, product security, testbed engineering, and other stakeholders
- For senior responsibilities: lead software design, integration, testing, debugging, project management, and supplier team performance evaluation
- Advise on software and hardware integration domains
- Work with a technically diverse user community and multidisciplinary integrated product team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance post-start; U.S. Government requirements include U.S. Citizenship
- U.S. Person required for U.S. export control compliance
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- 5+ years of experience in software development using C, C++, Java, or Python
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real-time or non-real-time system
- Successful completion of the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
- Completion of a technical assessment as part of the selection process
- Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through Formal Qualification
- Experience with GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence
- Experience in embedded real-time software development
- Experience with Wireshark or other network analysis tools and debuggers
- Experience automating software builds, unit tests, and integration tests using a DevOps tool chain
- Highly motivated and able to work well in a team environment
