About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, integrate, modify, test, and debug embedded software
  • Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements for embedded software products
  • Build and write embedded systems software for specialized hardware
  • Integrate embedded software with hardware components
  • Analyze, monitor, and improve embedded software efficiency and stability
  • Drive software execution to deliver products on-cost and on-schedule
  • Ensure satellite and payload software safety, assurance, quality, and engineering excellence
  • Produce design and test documentation and artifacts, including program CDRLs
  • Conduct Cyber Vulnerability Analysis for processing platforms within satellite vehicle architecture
  • Design and implement cyber monitoring algorithms
  • Design and write custom tools and processes for configuration automation and workflow improvement
  • Interface with software and hardware development teams, Systems Engineering, Product Security Engineering, Testbed Engineering, and diverse users
  • For P4 responsibilities: lead software design, integration, testing, debugging, project management, supplier performance tracking, stakeholder interfacing, and software/hardware integration advisory activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
  • U.S. Citizenship required to obtain the required U.S. security clearance
  • Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance post-start; final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • 5+ years of experience in software development using C, C++, Java, or Python
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real-time or non-real-time system
  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through Formal Qualification
  • Experience with GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Experience in embedded real-time software development
  • Experience with Wireshark or other network analysis tools and debuggers
  • Experience automating software builds, unit tests, and integration tests using a DevOps tool chain
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Must complete the required CodeVue technical assessment
