About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle
  • Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and system-integration functionalities
  • Assess, update, and maintain software libraries and COTS products for compatibility, security, and performance
  • Participate in agile software development planning, reviews, and customer meetings
  • Debug and resolve issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency
  • Perform software development and participate in code reviews
  • Follow software standards and design principles
  • Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics
  • Execute and document software research and development projects
  • Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations
  • Work alongside a cross-functional team on Mission Management and Mission Planning Java software
  • Contribute across conceptualization, development, maintenance, and customer support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • 3+ years’ experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns
  • 3+ years’ experience in Java/C++/Python object-oriented programming on full stack software projects/programs
  • 3+ years with DevSecOps and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and execution
  • Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • U.S. export control compliance eligibility as a “U.S. Person”
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JS frameworks, Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, noSQL, and REST/Open API preferred
  • Experience with Agile or SAFe practices preferred
  • Familiarity with TDD, agile software development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD management preferred
  • Experience with Jenkins or GitLab CI preferred
  • Experience with JMS and WebLogic preferred
  • Experience with Ivy, Maven, Gradle, Git, or Jenkins preferred
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB preferred
  • Experience writing and executing unit, integration, and system tests preferred
  • Experience with space-based or ground-based systems preferred
  • Must complete the CodeVue technical assessment
