About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain and develop software for satellite command and control
- Write software requirements with subject matter expert guidance
- Decompose requirements into long-term roadmaps and develop and test them with end users
- Improve legacy software and tooling using modern frameworks
- Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes for product users
- Collaborate with operations, spacecraft engineering, cybersecurity, and technician teams
- Support design, development, integration, testing, and delivery of large-scale ground software and mission control systems
- Support testing of components, subsystems, and spacecraft in test configurations
- Integrate Millennium applications into Government-furnished software and infrastructure
- Assist with integrated system test events involving Millennium and Government-furnished systems
- Implement mission data processing applications for payloads and end users
- Support software testing and installation in classified environments
- Assist developers with development tasks and troubleshooting
- Assist with validation and verification testing
- Complete larger feature requests and own software modules, analysis packages, and workflows
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Experience designing and developing software in a production environment
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required by the U.S. Government
- Final U.S. Secret clearance pre-start, or interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start
- Active TS/SCI Clearance preferred
- Successful completion of the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
- U.S. Person status required for export-control compliance
- Applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Willingness to work 100% onsite at one of the listed location options
- Post-offer drug and alcohol testing may apply
