About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute critical supply chain initiatives within Boeing Defense, Space & Security
  • Shape high-level supplier engagement strategies and teaming arrangements
  • Balance program requirements with geopolitical dynamics and customer influence
  • Develop BDS-level market intelligence covering spend analysis, key suppliers, control points, growth investments, and competitor intelligence
  • Monitor market shifts, mergers and acquisitions, and emerging supplier capabilities
  • Lead end-to-end Supply Chain Architecture development for major new defense programs and derivative aerospace efforts
  • Drive strategic Supply Chain Risk Mitigation planning and scale predictive risk solutions
  • Use predictive risk models to identify and neutralize potential disruptions
  • Generate data-driven Supplier Assessment Reports on geopolitical, labor-market, and natural-disaster risks
  • Conduct targeted capability assessments aligned with value chains and supply gaps
  • Oversee data integrity, updates, and maintenance of the Recommended Bidder Identification tool
  • Partner with Government Operations and the BDS Law Department on Department of War regulatory changes and supply-chain compliance
  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, procurement, legal, and government operations leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of Boeing’s internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • More than 5 years of experience in supply chain strategy, strategic sourcing, or procurement, ideally within aerospace, defense, or a highly regulated heavy industry
  • Experience with production program oversight, supplier management, and risk management
  • Experience performing competitive market analysis
  • Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Experience with Business Intelligence/Data Analytics tools and applications such as IBM Cognos Analytics, SQL, Tableau, or Google Analytics
  • Experience in the acquisition environment within the US Department of Defense and/or defense industry preferred
  • Experience in business analysis, data warehousing, statistical data mining, and/or data science preferred
  • Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience required
  • Typically 10 or more years of related work experience or relevant military experience
  • Must be a U.S. Person under applicable U.S. export control requirements
  • Must live in the immediate area or relocate at own expense
  • Must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Must complete the Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Must be available for first shift
