About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the full design lifecycle of data products, from concepts and workflows to micro-interactions and visual design
  • Develop product vision and roadmaps for data products supporting supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing
  • Build and iterate on ontologies modeling objects, properties, links, and actions
  • Conduct surveys, interviews, usability tests, contextual inquiries, and A/B testing
  • Visit customer offices to learn from users
  • Combine qualitative research with product and usage metrics
  • Build wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes
  • Establish and maintain a scalable design system
  • Prototype and build products alongside engineers using Palantir Foundry
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, researchers, and other cross-functional teams
  • Define and document product requirements, data sources, processing, and analytics capabilities
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog
  • Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Write user stories linked to portfolio value
  • Define KPIs and analyze product performance metrics
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams
  • Lead Scrum meetings and product sprints as a champion of the SAFe process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years’ experience with taxonomy and ontology development
  • 5+ years of experience preparing, conducting, and analyzing user research
  • 5+ years’ experience with Tableau, SQL, R, and Python
  • 5+ years’ experience with products developed using Agile software development practices
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Confluence
  • Experience working within a Scrum team or similar Agile project setup
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or directly related non-US equivalent qualifications
  • Experience with product design and processes
  • 5+ years’ experience working with aerospace systems
  • US Person status required for export control compliance
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required by the U.S. Government
  • Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance required post-start
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Must live in the immediate area or relocate at own expense
  • Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Position may require travel up to 10% of the time
