About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full design lifecycle of data products, from concepts and high-level workflows through micro-interactions and visual design
- Develop strategic vision and product roadmaps for data products supporting supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing functions
- Build and iterate on ontologies modeling objects, properties, links, and actions
- Conduct surveys, interviews, usability tests, contextual inquiries, and A/B testing
- Visit customer offices to learn from users
- Combine qualitative research with product and usage metrics to validate decisions and prioritize work
- Build wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes
- Establish and maintain scalable design systems
- Prototype and build products alongside engineers using Palantir Foundry
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, researchers, and cross-functional teams
- Define and document product requirements, data sources, data processing, and analytics capabilities
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog
- Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment to meet quality and performance standards
- Write user stories capturing complete requirements and portfolio value
- Define KPIs and analyze product performance metrics
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams
- Lead Scrum meetings and product sprints as a champion of the SAFe process
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years’ experience with taxonomy and ontology development
- 5+ years of experience preparing, conducting, and analyzing user research
- 5+ years’ experience with analytics tools including Tableau, SQL, R, and Python
- 5+ years’ experience with products developed using Agile software development practices
- Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Confluence
- Experience working within a Scrum team or similar Agile project setup
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or directly related non-US equivalent qualification
- Experience with product design and processes
- 5+ years’ experience working with aerospace systems
- Must be a U.S. Person under applicable U.S. export control regulations
- Must live in the immediate area or relocate at own expense
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required by the U.S. Government

- Must comply with post-offer drug and alcohol testing when applicable
