About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support technology integration for and development of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions
- Lead modelling and simulation efforts from early capabilities studies through demonstration
- Serve as a core point of contact for customers
- Work with subject matter experts across the business to iterate and converge on achievable solutions
- Work in multidisciplinary teams to bring concepts of operations to fruition
- Lead integrated efforts across broad, minimally defined design spaces
- Develop and present review packages to internal and external senior leadership
- Develop physics-based mission simulations for system trade studies and performance verification
- Develop mission flight plans and concepts using novel astrodynamics approaches
- Develop and maintain operational mission planning tools
- Work as an individual contributor and team lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months
- U.S. Citizenship required for the security clearance
- U.S. Person required for U.S. export control compliance
- Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, or comparable software language
- 7 years of systems engineering experience
- 2 years of experience in a technical leadership position
- Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) preferred
- Proficiency developing control algorithms, models, and simulations preferred
- Proficiency in space environments, mission design, or astrodynamics preferred
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers preferred
- Experience in spacecraft, launch vehicles, or highly autonomous unmanned systems preferred
