About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead planning of software development tasks, including detailed software design, coding, and unit, integration, functional, and system testing
  • Develop customer-requested features and user stories and ensure acceptance criteria are achieved
  • Partner with stakeholders on system definition and translate system-level requirements into software requirements and models
  • Ensure traceability from requirements through design, code, and test artifacts
  • Review software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Lead integration and deployment of mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle
  • Lead code reviews for alignment with requirements and standards
  • Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution
  • Review products and processes for alignment with project plans and industry standards
  • Track and evaluate internal team and supplier performance
  • Mentor and coach junior software engineers
  • Support software design and development for space-based effects in support of air-domain missions
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-contract and multi-program environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Active Top Secret U.S. Security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance
  • U.S. Person required under U.S. export control compliance requirements
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Java and/or C++ object-oriented programming
  • 3+ years of experience leading software development projects
  • 1+ years of MATLAB experience
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Must complete a technical assessment during the selection process
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Familiarity with Physics-Based Modeling software packages
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, including version control, continuous integration, containers, and code analysis tools such as Git, GitLab, or CMake
  • Experience with Agile software development processes, including daily standups, User Stories, Sprints, and/or Planning
  • Exposure to Linux and Windows
  • Strong computing skills
  • Experience with MATLAB Coder is preferred but not required
  • Active TS/SCI is preferred
  • Physics knowledge in flight dynamics, sensors, electromagnetics, weapon models, terrain models, or flight control is preferred but not required
