About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Elicit, analyze, decompose, and allocate system and subsystem requirements from stakeholder needs and higher-level system specifications
  • Create, edit, and maintain well-structured, testable requirements using a requirements management tool
  • Develop and maintain functional, logical, and physical system architecture descriptions and traceability
  • Author and maintain specifications and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • Manage ICD baselines and change control
  • Develop verification plans, procedures, and test cases aligned to requirements
  • Coordinate and perform verification activities, including analysis, inspection, demonstration, and test
  • Document verification results
  • Support integration activities and resolve interface mismatches and subsystem discrepancies
  • Maintain requirements traceability matrices and demonstrate requirement closure for reviews and audits
  • Participate in SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR design and technical reviews
  • Provide status and risk assessment for requirements and verification
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, test, suppliers, manufacturing, and product management teams
  • Support configuration and change control processes for requirements, specifications, and ICDs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required); a clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active
  • 10+ years of related work experience
  • Experience with satellite systems or space related applications
  • Proven experience applying systems thinking principles to complex engineering challenges
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success delivering systems engineering artifacts, including requirements, specifications, and interface documents
  • Extensive experience developing and refining system architectures aligned with stakeholder needs and program goals
  • Hands-on involvement in Internal Research and Development (IRAD) projects
  • Foundational knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency with Digital System Engineering (DSE) tools and environments
  • U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
