About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, operate, secure, and maintain dedicated program IT infrastructure for Air Dominance programs
  • Manage all aspects of Linux environments, including scripting
  • Analyze computing requirements
  • Lead multidisciplinary technical systems and application activities
  • Install, configure, and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software, and components
  • Plan, develop, design, and integrate computer applications
  • Plan and coordinate complex software and hardware for enterprise release
  • Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives
  • Evaluate system production readiness and supportability
  • Restore complex computing service operations
  • Identify and resolve complex system problems
  • Integrate security solutions into information systems
  • Develop project plans for implementing Linux systems into computing environments
  • Support enterprise capabilities within closed networks, including office functions, application development stacks, engineering workflows, and vulnerability remediation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Ability to obtain a Security+, a CISSP certification or equivalent Cyber Security certification within 6 months of employment in this role
  • 3+ years of experience performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts, including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
  • 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering RHEL 6 or higher
  • 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Windows 7 or higher
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required; U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Drug testing may apply to post-offer applicants and employees
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience with Oracle Linux/Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 or higher
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience with Windows 7 or higher
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience with Oracle Linux/Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 or higher
  • Experience packaging and updating base Linux operating system installations
  • Experience with Kickstart Scripts, Bash, Puppet, Ansible, and shell scripts
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and related COTS products
  • Experience integrating security solutions including McAfee, Splunk, and Host Based Security System
  • Experience administering user system access and establishing safeguards
  • Experience with NFS Storage, Diskless Booting, GRUB, and customer service
