About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform Windows system administration for servers and workstations
  • Build and configure Windows servers and workstations
  • Provide basic network support
  • Create, maintain, and administer VMware virtual server environments
  • Administer and configure block-based storage
  • Install, configure, and maintain system hardware, software, and components
  • Support end users and interface with engineers, project managers, and IT management
  • Manage file systems, disk storage allocation, and data backup and recovery
  • Create and maintain Windows user accounts, groups, and file-security access lists
  • Configure and maintain security audit logging on all systems
  • Implement and monitor security patching, operating-system upgrades, and application upgrades
  • Support Air Dominance programs by operating and maintaining dedicated program IT infrastructure within closed networks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • 3+ years of experience performing hardware installation, modification and testing
  • 3+ years of experience implementing software
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems, including Server 2016–2022 and Windows 10
  • 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Windows Server 2016–2019 and Windows 10
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Windows Server 2022–2025 and Windows 11
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call support as needed, weekends, and holidays
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; a clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
  • Post-offer applicants and employees are subject to drug testing when criteria are met
  • Preferred: 3+ years designing and implementing Windows systems
  • Preferred: 3+ years troubleshooting operating system and installation problems
  • Preferred: 3+ years supporting a broad range of basic systems and applications
  • Preferred: Experience with RAID levels and storage concepts
  • Preferred: Experience following standard installation procedures for applications and operating systems
  • Preferred: Experience supporting and managing Windows information systems in RMF, JAFAN, JSIG, and NISPOM Chapter 8 environments
  • Preferred: Experience hardening systems according to RMF and STIGs
  • Preferred: Experience maintaining/configuring Active Directory, including domain group policies
  • Preferred: Experience with scripts to automate operating-system deployment and configuration
  • Preferred: Experience creating and maintaining virtual servers and networks using vSphere Suite 7.x or higher
  • Preferred: Experience evaluating and communicating complex system problems and resolutions
  • Preferred: Experience integrating Trellix, Splunk, and Nessus into information systems
