About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support technology integration for and development of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions
- Lead modelling and simulation efforts from early capabilities studies through demonstration
- Serve as a core point of contact for customers
- Work with subject matter experts across the business to iterate and converge on achievable solutions
- Work in multidisciplinary teams to bring concepts of operations to fruition
- Act as an individual contributor and product lead
- Develop and present review packages to internal and external senior leadership
- Develop physics-based mission simulations for system trade studies and performance verification
- Apply astrodynamics and flight mechanics to mission design, novel orbit concepts, and trajectory optimization
- Identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and implement reusable tools and automations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required); a clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active
- Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, or comparable software languages
- Proficiency developing control algorithms, models, and simulations
- Familiarity with space environments, mission design, and astrodynamics
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers
- Experience in spacecraft, launch vehicles, or highly autonomous unmanned systems
- Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- U.S. export control compliance requires a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62
