About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire goods and services supporting fixed-wing military derivative programmes
  • Support programmes from conception through execution across commercial, military and global boundaries
  • Complete existing programme obligations
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions for products and services
  • Engage stakeholders to integrate programme, customer, product and in-service strategies into sourcing, negotiation and contracting strategies
  • Prepare and execute proprietary information agreements
  • Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Optimise supply-chain execution by balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand
  • Continuously review and analyse demand and supply
  • Manage supplier/subcontractor performance and relationships to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance
  • Mitigate risks and issues
  • Initiate supplier-improvement activities and integrate results into contracting strategies
  • Communicate performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working within a Procurement or Supply Chain role within the Aerospace/Defence industry
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to obtain UK security clearance; UK Government requires UK residency
  • Current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom
  • No immigration or labour sponsorship available
  • Ability to obtain United Kingdom Security Check (SC)
  • Preferred: Experience working within an Engineering/Production environment
  • Preferred: Degree / MCIPS
  • Preferred: Experience using SAP
  • Preferred: Experience supporting contract terms and conditions development, negotiations and raising contracts
  • Preferred: Experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus
