About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software integrated into embedded devices and systems
- Lead review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into embedded software product designs
- Review embedded systems software code for specialized hardware
- Lead integration of embedded software with hardware components
- Lead analysis, monitoring, and improvement of embedded software efficiency and stability
- Lead testing and debugging of embedded device and system software
- Research and lead implementation of emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes
- Advise on software and hardware integration domains
- Lead tracking and evaluation of internal and supplier software team performance
- Lead embedded software project management functions
- Support the Boeing Technology and Innovation Software Engineering organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Active US Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- U.S. Person required for U.S. export control compliance
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
- 1+ years of experience leading software development projects
- Ability to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
