About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team delivering proposals, growth and governance across Chinook and Apache programmes
  • Lead all aspects of programme performance and line-manage project managers and PMOs
  • Support mobilisation of new programmes and drive governance and functional excellence
  • Oversee complex improvement projects and sustainment services for front-line customers
  • Lead complex programme management execution across a portfolio of projects
  • Lead cross-functional leadership teams in a matrix organisation
  • Lead programme financial business reviews and hold P&L responsibility
  • Implement programme processes across technical, aircraft maintenance, material and training work packages
  • Prevent and resolve complex problems
  • Implement programme management best practices and customer communication plans
  • Build high-performing teams and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Lead continuous improvement and streamline models and processes
  • Develop programme architecture, organisational work structures and top-level plans
  • Identify programme-level integration interfaces among teams, suppliers, partners and customers
  • Partner in business-unit strategy and long-term planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven work history in a programme management environment and executing complex programmes
  • Extensive experience leading large, complex international programmes
  • Experience managing a portfolio of projects
  • Experience managing supply chain partners
  • Experience in Defence and/or Aerospace/Training, ideally Rotorcraft
  • Subject matter expertise in programme and project management
  • Strong leadership, motivational, interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Knowledge of functional disciplines and programme management best practices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Boeing or industry-recognised systems for risks, issues and opportunities, contracts, change processing and estimating
  • Knowledge of US ITAR requirements
  • Ability to obtain United Kingdom Security Check
  • Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
