About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic leadership to develop and implement a technology strategy aligned with program and IDT&S goals
- Collaborate with the IPT and functions to understand challenges and initiatives and provide appropriate IT resources and service options
- Engage stakeholders to understand technological needs, requirements, and challenges
- Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; and develop conclusions and recommendations
- Facilitate analysis and recommend strategic “Make-Buy” decisions involving IT service offerings
- Represent the program within IDT&S to ensure services and solutions align with program needs
- Develop and execute communication plans covering IT initiatives, business impact, financial performance, risks, and compliance
- Lead integration activities, identify risks and impacts, and coordinate mitigation plans or changes to commitments
- Drive continuous improvement using data, metrics, and lessons learned across IT processes, procedures, tools, and techniques
- Model and analyze data from technical and business perspectives and integrate it into computing and application systems architecture
- Connect networking, processing, and data management to provide effective computing infrastructure
- Identify and propose emerging technology solutions that deliver business value
- Maintain accountability and planning responsibilities for IDT&S program spending
- Align financial decisions with technology roadmaps and long-term strategic goals
- Ensure IT systems and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and efficient
- Monitor performance and proactively mitigate risks
- Engage during outages, communicate status and remediation plans, and lead follow-on Root Cause Corrective Action
- Assess the program’s cyber landscape, risk portfolio, audit observations, and compliance position; implement controls to address non-compliance
- Understand supplier services, contracts, and terms to ensure alignment with business needs
- Engage IDT&S suppliers to monitor performance, ensure service delivery, and foster collaborative relationships
- Manage and provide developmental opportunities for IT employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role
- 5+ years of experience in multiple disciplines within Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and/or Security
- 5+ years of experience with Information Technology (IT) architecture
- 5+ years of experience managing software systems enhancements, maintenance and analysis
- 5+ years of experience with risk management and mitigation principles and tools, ideally including full value stream assessments
- Experience in the Defense Industrial Base with program execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
- Experience driving value through data and metrics to improve processes and team performance
- Experience with systems thinking and understanding interrelationships across systems, plans, positions, and activities
- Experience preparing executive briefings and technical/non-technical summaries
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, change governance, root cause analysis, system and networking architecture, DevOps, and cloud operations
- Experience collaborating across functions in a matrixed organization
- Experience with different IT disciplines, including infrastructure, information, application, security, system management, and system integration
- Experience using Agile and traditional Waterfall methodologies
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, and Confluence
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with IT in supply chain operations and strategic “Make-Buy” decisions
- Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62
- Must have an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship Required
