About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a multi-disciplinary organization covering Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics for the GMD program
- Oversee integrated Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics functions across multiple GMD sites
- Oversee Product Support integration, day-to-day site operations, and sustainment activities
- Lead a multi-disciplinary workforce of managers and technical staff
- Perform work in and around an operational missile defense complex and interceptor launch facilities
- Interface with Missile Defense Agency and government leadership and GMD stakeholders
- Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies, and procedures
- Guide business goals and objectives across Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics
- Establish and monitor logistics readiness metrics, including spares availability, supply chain performance, and materiel accountability
- Acquire organizational resources and lead process improvements
- Prioritize site assets with GMD Program Management, Quality, and EHS teams
- Coordinate cross-site standardization, best-practice sharing, lessons learned, business development, and process-improvement initiatives
- Develop relationships with customers, community, stakeholders, peers, partners, and government entities
- Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes
- Manage, develop, mentor, and motivate employees and subordinate managers
- Own hiring, performance management, and workforce planning decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience leading or managing programs, organizational operations, enterprise services, and/or functional leadership
- 5+ years of experience in Maintenance Planning Operations
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing policies and procedures
- 5+ years of experience in Logistics
- Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time
- 5+ years of experience working on the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program or a comparable missile defense / weapon system sustainment program
- Experience working/living in remote military locations
- U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required
- U.S. Citizenship required for the active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Must train, understand, and observe extensive safety and process controls
- Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of related work experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
- Drug and alcohol testing may apply when criteria are met
