About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, develop, and manage employees and first-level managers within the ESG IP&S organization
- Provide strategic and technical direction for integrated planning and scheduling activities across ESG
- Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures
- Oversee development, maintenance, and integration of program and portfolio schedules, including IMS, detailed, proposal, baseline execution, and in-work schedules
- Lead critical path, variance, risk, impact, change management, baseline control, and corrective action analyses
- Ensure quality, timeliness, and compliance of scheduling deliverables, program review materials, customer reporting, and IPMR Format 6 or other planning/scheduling outputs
- Drive standardized integrated master planning methods, scheduling tools, and EVM-aligned execution practices
- Build partnerships with executive leadership, customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Serve as the primary scheduling leadership contact within ESG
- Acquire and manage resources, provide technical oversight, and approve technical approaches and deliverables
- Manage supplier interfaces and process improvement initiatives
- Support program execution across development, production, and operations portfolios for Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s Experimental Systems Group
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 12+ years of experience in program planning, project management, integrated scheduling, industrial engineering, business operations, change management, or related disciplines
- 5+ years of experience using integrated scheduling tools such as Open Plan Professional, Microsoft Project Professional, Enterprise Project Management, or similar tools
- 5+ years of experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology and analysis
- 5+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional teams
- Experience managing employees and/or first-level managers through formal or informal leadership roles
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with schedule integration, baseline management, variance analysis, and schedule performance reporting
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship Required
- Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- U.S. Person required for U.S. export control compliance

- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field
- Preferred: Experience in aerospace, defense, space systems, or highly regulated program environments
- Preferred: Experience supporting development, production, agile software, or operations programs
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Project Server and/or enterprise portfolio scheduling environments
- Preferred: Experience using Milestone Professional
- Preferred: Experience with proposal planning and integrated master planning methods
- Preferred: Experience supporting IPMR Format 6 reporting
- Preferred: Experience writing macros or automating reporting in Microsoft tools
- Preferred: Experience with complex development programs involving multiple suppliers, platforms, and customer interfaces
- Preferred: Experience applying DFARS-aligned EVM requirements and surveillance support
- Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
- Preferred: Prior management experience in a technical or program control function
- Preferred: Experience leading managers or multiple layers of direct and indirect reports
