About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead development of technical solutions for complex product security and detection engineering challenges affecting digitally connected airplane models
- Develop technical data and documentation according to system security engineering processes and procedures for internal and external delivery
- Coordinate with security testers to validate coverage and assess impacts to analysis and detection capability
- Interface with external customers and internal stakeholders on detection capabilities aligned with continued airworthiness strategies
- Support development, implementation, and communication of sustainment programs for continued product security, safety, and resiliency of in-service airplane models
- Lead and participate in defining and identifying product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems integrated into Boeing products and services
- Collaborate with governments, customers, suppliers, and industry partners to identify risks and improve security standards and requirements
- Lead and participate in research and development efforts improving detection capabilities, methods, tools, and technical approaches
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 9+ years of experience in an engineering-related field
- Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security, and/or cybersecurity
- Experience supporting or working with manufacturing or engineering teammates or in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience with system security engineering or systems engineering
- Experience with network and host-based Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) and Security Incident Event Management (SIEM)
- Experience analyzing technical data and providing clear written and verbal presentation of the results
- Experience with scripting languages such as ACL, SQL Developer, Oracle, XML, MySQL, Python
- Experience with system administration of complex infrastructure and software development systems
- Security+, CISSP certification, or equivalent Cyber Security certification
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person
