About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of embedded software
  • Translate customer requirements into embedded software product designs
  • Review embedded systems code for specialized hardware
  • Lead integration of embedded software with hardware components
  • Analyze, monitor, and improve embedded software efficiency and stability
  • Lead testing and debugging of software for embedded devices and systems
  • Research and implement emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes
  • Advise on software and hardware integration domains
  • Track and evaluate internal and supplier software team performance
  • Lead embedded software project management functions
  • Develop vehicle health management solutions that monitor and predict military aircraft health throughout their lifecycle
  • Enable smarter maintenance decisions, automate processes, reduce costs, and advance predictive maintenance capabilities using emerging technologies such as AI

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor Degree
  • U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • 9+ years of experience with embedded systems and/or developing software using C and C++
  • 3+ years of experience with software utilized on air vehicle, avionics, weapons or mission systems
  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile product development environment
  • 2+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Software Containers, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD tools including JIRA, GitLab, Ansible, and Artifactory
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering, including UML, SysML, Cameo, and MSOSA
  • Experience with Automated Testing
  • Secret Clearance is a plus
  • Must complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process
