About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration, and disposition of servers, storage, and workstations
- Provide complex problem resolution, root cause analysis, and technical support for delivery systems
- Participate in the design, validation, and configuration management of computing delivery systems
- Administer user system access and establish safeguards to protect information according to security policies
- Monitor and optimize system performance, high availability, reliability, backup, disaster recovery, security, and RMF conformance
- Plan and coordinate system changes
- Collaborate with teams to integrate services and enhance system capabilities and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program objectives in an Agile framework
- Mentor, lead, and train others
- Develop skills in Linux and cloud technologies through on-the-job training, self-study, and hands-on learning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Active Top Secret with SCI US Security Clearance (TS/SCI), or successfully completed a Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), within the past 5 years, or agreement to enter a Continuous Vetting program
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience working with Linux and/or Solaris, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for servers and workstations
- Experience with RHEL 8/9 and/or Solaris 10/11
- Experience with VMware ESXi 8/9
- Security hardening experience or knowledge
- Cybersecurity experience or knowledge
- Experience simplifying, automating, and optimizing patch management and/or operating-system and application compliance
- User access and identity management experience or knowledge
- Experience maintaining storage and data archival systems
- Active Security+ (Sec+) or equivalent IAT Level 2 certification per DoD Instruction 8570 (8140)
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Willingness to work 100% onsite at one of the listed location options
