About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Systems Engineering team supporting software/firmware development for Boeing Defense, Space & Security Satellite Systems Engineering
- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify complex system-of-systems and system solutions
- Lead evaluation of customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure compatibility of physical, functional, and program interfaces
- Lead analyses to optimize system-of-systems and system architecture
- Lead, develop, maintain, and improve requirements management processes
- Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for high-performance software solutions
- Lead software system design activities, including SRS and hardware/software IRS development
- Integrate completed software components into fully functional systems through mission and system testing
- Support progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and program/IPT leadership
- Support IPT development and integration schedules and management of cost baselines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required as a condition of employment
- Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance required post-start
- U.S. export control compliance: U.S. Person required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or directly related non-U.S. equivalent qualifications
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience for space systems and ground segments performing command, control, mission planning, and data processing
- 5+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle, including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test
- 3+ years of experience leading systems engineering and/or software development projects
- 3+ years of experience writing software requirement specifications
- Experience in an Agile software development environment and DevOps methodologies
- Experience with Software Requirements Specification development
- Experience defining interfaces between multiple software systems and between hardware and software
- Experience with formal acceptance testing activities, including FQT, FAT, and SAT
- Successful completion of the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
