About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead ground- and system-level verification, validation, integration, and testing
  • Lead requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunities, and technology readiness
  • Plan, design, and develop system requirements using an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach
  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and verification reports
  • Resolve cross-functional technical issues
  • Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure interface compatibility
  • Perform analyses covering affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory and certification factors
  • Write requirements and interface control documents for ground systems
  • Support ConOps development and product design, development, and testing
  • Develop ground segment operational products for space-based systems
  • Support complex system-level mission threads for space missions
  • Work with engineers using a scaled agile development process
  • Engage in model-based systems engineering
  • Lead, mentor, and train others

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or directly related non-US equivalent qualifications
  • Typically 14 or more years' related work experience
  • Active Top Secret US Security Clearance, or successful completion of a Tier 5 investigation within the past 5 years or agreement to enter Continuous Vetting
  • U.S. Citizenship required for the active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements and qualify as a U.S. Person
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Preferred: experience in space systems and multidisciplinary teams
  • Preferred: experience with Ops Product architecture, design, development, and test
  • Preferred: experience with software requirements verification testing
  • Preferred: scripting languages such as Python and Tcl/Tk
  • Preferred: Configuration Management tools and processes
  • Preferred: Scaled Agile Framework processes and tools
