About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee and manage Technical Performance Measures to align system metrics with program objectives
- Conduct and lead trade studies balancing mission capability, affordability, and integration maturity
- Participate in the Community of Architects and drive critical program decisions and architectural strategies
- Collaborate with Integrated Product Team architects across multiple technical functions
- Solve complex, multi-functional integration challenges without direct hierarchical control
- Translate complex technical details for subject-matter experts
- Relay status and strategic risks to executive leadership
- Integrate multiple disparate, complex systems within a large-scale development program
- Maintain weapon-system integrity through technical performance management and collaborative integration
- Travel up to 10% as required by business needs
- Report directly to the Program Chief Architect
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 10+ years of experience in the defense or aerospace industry
- Experience in Systems Engineering processes and weapon system integration
- Ability to communicate technical details clearly and concisely with subject-matter experts and program leadership
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; a clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active
- U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance and Special Program Access
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access
- U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
- Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Preferred: leadership experience within Air Vehicle systems and components
- Preferred: experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Preferred: ability to mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative systems-thinking culture
