About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and design for high-performance Command and Control software solutions
- Lead software development activities in a scaled agile methodology using a DevSecOps environment
- Support software development activities and integrate completed software components into a fully functional software system
- Support progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and program/IPT leadership
- Perform day-to-day activities as Product Owner/Technical Lead, Release Train Engineer/Scrum Master, and/or Integration & Test lead
- Support the IPT by defining and meeting development and integration schedules alongside a rigorously managed cost baseline
- Work with customers in developing next-generation ground systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- U.S. Citizenship required for the U.S. Government security clearance
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (Interim prestart, final post start)
- 5+ years of experience with software development for space systems and ground segments performing command, control, mission planning and data processing
- 5+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle, including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test
- 3+ years of experience leading software development projects
- 3+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment and DevOps methodologies
- U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
- Must complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process
- Level 4 preferred: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active TS/SCI or DoD Top Secret clearance preferred
- Experience as a Product Owner/Technical Lead and/or Integration & Test Lead for government programs preferred
- Understanding of Command and Control systems, real-time applications, and their specific requirements preferred
- Experience with database technologies, messaging systems, and data streaming technologies preferred
- Familiarity with containerization tools and orchestration platforms preferred
- Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab preferred
- Experience with formal acceptance testing activities preferred
