About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
  • Coordinate and partner with the U.S. Air Force Program Office on regulatory strategies and issues
  • Develop strategic action plans for changes to certification processes and execute them through completion
  • Own, manage, and enable execution of certification process/procedure documents, including BPMs, BPIs, D6s, and D950s
  • Coordinate across products, platforms, and functional areas to promote compliance with requirements, procedures, and regulatory guidance
  • Develop the platform's master compliance documentation, integrating and analyzing system, airframe, and interior-related compliance data
  • Manage a team of Certification Engineers and Analysts leading development and execution of a complex certification strategy for the VC-25B program

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of Boeing's internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
  • Must be willing to travel as required (typically up to 10%)
  • Experience with Military-Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) and/or other Aircraft Modification projects preferred
  • Experience coordinating and negotiating with aviation regulators preferred
  • Experience integrating cross-functional engineering teams preferred
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements and be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62
  • Must complete an assessment as part of the selection process
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
