About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and plan software development tasks, including detailed software design, coding, and unit, integration, functional, and system testing
  • Develop and sustain new and existing applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
  • Present and report to customers and stakeholders
  • Brief software designs and demonstrate software release functionality to customers, stakeholders, and end users
  • Analyze high-level customer requirements and derive lower-level functional requirements
  • Contribute to new distributed components and interactions aligned with future system architecture
  • Support the FishTools Collection Planning and Mission Management system used by the intelligence community
  • Work on a cloud-based, multi-tiered system with consumer-facing web applications
  • Travel up to 10% of the time may be required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 1+ years’ experience analyzing data and/or identifying functional and systems requirements with customers
  • 1+ years’ experience in systems engineering including system architecture development, systems integration, and/or hardware/software design and analysis
  • 1+ years’ experience developing presentations and briefing customers
  • Familiarity with Agile or SAFe practices, including daily standup, User Stories, Sprints, and Release Planning
  • Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph Post-Start
  • U.S. export control compliance requirements; a “U.S. Person” is required
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Technical assessment required as part of the selection process
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Preferred: 5 or more years' related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience, or Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience, or 13+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Preferred: Experience leading projects and/or individuals in software development lifecycle tasks
  • Preferred: Agile software development lifecycle knowledge
  • Preferred: Knowledge of project planning processes and tools
  • Preferred: Effective use of Atlassian Products such as Jira, Confluence, and Crucible
