About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, integrate, resolve bugs, and test C++/C# software controlling NDI and/or ATE electrical equipment
  • Update user interfaces
  • Develop functional and unit tests
  • Control NDI equipment including robotics, LIDAR, ultrasound, and electrical test equipment
  • Support ATE equipment including digital, analog, RF, Wi-Fi, cellular, communication bus, power, and display test equipment
  • Support updates to test executive and sequence software
  • Maintain and set up DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and Windows runners in GitLab
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain embedded software integrated into ATE and NDI devices and systems
  • Translate customer requirements into embedded software designs
  • Build code for specialized hardware
  • Integrate embedded software with hardware components
  • Analyze and improve embedded software efficiency and stability
  • Implement relevant technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes
  • Monitor internal and supplier software team performance for compliance with project plans and industry standards
  • Perform embedded software project management functions
  • Communicate with technical personnel across multiple skill areas to evaluate issues affecting product design, production, and support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • 5+ years of experience programming in C, C++ or C#
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
  • 3+ years of experience with test equipment software development and sustainment support
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing automation testing and maintaining automation tools
  • 3+ years of experience with embedded software design, development, debugging, and software integration and test
  • 5+ years of experience with automation applications development
  • 5+ years of experience with development of real-time software or integration of embedded software onto hardware
  • 5+ years of experience with lab or test equipment and hardware
  • 1+ years of working knowledge of GitLab
  • Ability to build, integrate and troubleshoot software components
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or systems engineering disciplines
  • Knowledge of programming languages including C++, C#, C, and Assembly
  • Knowledge of communications, networking, and protocols including TCP/IP, FTP, XML, WAP, ARINC429, and/or MS1553
  • Knowledge of general and real-time software development and testing tools, including test instrumentation, robotics systems, and inspection systems
  • Knowledge of deriving and allocating requirements and showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle
  • Technical assessment required as part of the selection process
  • U.S. export control compliance requires a U.S. Person
