About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and validate complex weight, balance, and mass properties data for aerospace vehicle design and performance
  • Estimate, measure, and verify mass, weight, stiffness, and inertial properties of aerospace components and systems
  • Define design requirements and maintain weight and balance accounting systems
  • Generate detailed reports for internal and customer use
  • Lead weight control efforts and advise on vehicle and system configurations affecting mass properties
  • Collaborate with flight systems engineering and cross-functional teams on customer specifications and program objectives
  • Implement process improvements and advanced tools to enhance weight analysis capabilities
  • Communicate technical information under general direction while focusing on safety, quality, and business objectives
  • Travel domestically and/or internationally up to 10% of the time as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor’s, or 3+ years with a Master’s, or work related experience with a PhD
  • 3+ years of Mass Properties experience
  • Experience with 3D solid modeling software applications such as NX, Catia, or CADD
  • Experience with three-dimensional parametric modeling using NX/Teamcenter or CATIA/ENOVIA methods and tools
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements and qualify as a U.S. Person
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required by the U.S. Government
  • Ability to obtain program access requiring U.S. Citizenship
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Must comply with applicable post-offer drug and alcohol testing requirements
