About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the Quality function’s technical liaison with Asian suppliers and partners
- Lead and monitor the resolution of nonconformities and corrective action plans
- Support root-cause analysis and problem-solving activities (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, PDCA)
- Monitor supplier development and performance, including improvement plans
- Participate in technical meetings in Mandarin, Portuguese, and/or English
- Support the interpretation of technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and Quality documentation
- Facilitate communication between Brazilian and Asian teams, taking cultural differences and business practices into account
- Support supplier qualification, APQP/PPAP, and supplier management activities
- Prepare and monitor Quality metrics, reports, and action plans
- Participate in technical visits, audits, and supplier meetings as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Quality Management, or a related field
- Advanced Mandarin and English, with technical fluency in meetings
- Experience in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, or supplier development
- Knowledge of problem-solving tools, particularly 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, and PDCA
- Knowledge of Quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC
- Experience in Supplier Quality
- Proficiency in reading technical documentation and using Excel
- Experience handling nonconformities and monitoring action plans
- Reside in Jundiaí or the surrounding area
- Availability for domestic and international travel
- A plus: experience in the automotive sector or high-volume manufacturing
- A plus: experience working with Chinese/Asian companies or suppliers
- A plus: professional experience in China or another Asian country
- A plus: knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and automotive requirements
