About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the assembly team through lean daily management systems
  • Ensure consistent execution of processes and response to issues
  • Enforce all safety practices and work rules
  • Schedule daily workflow through the Heijunka board
  • Monitor and ensure Standard Work is strictly followed
  • Review daily metric board data for completeness and accuracy
  • Provide coaching and replenish weekly sheets
  • Update the metric database with weekly metric data
  • Make daily labor assignments to achieve the Heijunka schedule
  • Facilitate job skill training and verification
  • Ensure work instructions are accurate and update them as needed
  • Facilitate Order Processing meetings as needed
  • Monitor quality and provide feedback on quality issues
  • Ensure 5S standards are met
  • Maintain the performance environment through clear expectations, training, and adequate resources
  • Ensure needed job rotation is achieved to keep technician skills current
  • Troubleshoot interruptions to Standard Work and implement countermeasures or recovery plans
  • Assemble complex electrical and mechanical systems using detailed drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and programming parameters
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Perform and document required quality inspections and testing
  • Organize and complete tasks on time to meet production schedules
  • Handle materials and prepare products for delivery, including packaging and crating
  • Maintain housekeeping, safety, and user maintenance of equipment
  • Work as part of a team and contribute to team success

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Associate Degree is a plus
  • 3-5 years’ experience in complex electrical and mechanical assembly positions
  • Good communication (English fluency) and organization skills with a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be physically able to perform all aspects of the job
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30lbs multiple times daily
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate Windows systems required
  • Ability to work Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm, with Friday as needed
