About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data
- Define the direction of critical AI solutions
- Apply best-fit machine learning algorithms and technologies
- Support enterprise-wide application and data capabilities
- Process data and information at massive scale
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and MLOps engineers
- Guide clients on AI/ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks
- Help define AI strategy for national security customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or AI systems development using Python
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining LLM-powered systems and complex data pipelines in production environments
- Experience implementing advanced prompting strategies
- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
- Experience with LLM inference engines such as vLLM or TGI
- Experience with tool calling and agentic workflows
- Experience integrating AI components, including embeddings and vector databases such as LanceDB, pgvector, and Elasticsearch
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
- Ability to translate early-stage prototypes into robust and scalable production systems
- Ability to optimize system performance for latency, throughput, and high reliability
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
