About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of Space Sensing capabilities with Booz Allen colleagues and the Military
Develop and design secure cloud-based solutions supporting mission-critical operations
Improve the client’s environment using current cloud capabilities
Work directly with the team and client to inform strategy and design
Ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process
Recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources
Guide the team as it helps the client overcome difficult cloud challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise IT systems and cloud infrastructures
Experience with highly available, scalable, and resilient architectures across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
8+ years of experience with leadership, guiding architecture, platform engineering, DevSecOps, and development teams
Experience driving automation, modernization, and best-practice cloud engineering across large-scale enterprise engagements
Experience designing and delivering hybrid-cloud architectures integrating on-premises systems with public cloud platforms
Ability to apply structured evaluation and prototyping techniques to industry trends and emerging technologies
Ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop and implement cloud strategies
Secret clearance required
Associate's degree in a STEM discipline such as Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
Nice to have: Experience leading DevSecOps teams and implementing automation tools and processes
Nice to have: Experience with the Strategic Missile Warning architecture, its programs, and supporting organizations
Nice to have: Experience with ground antenna, networking, distributed systems, or data orchestration
Nice to have: Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions, network architecture, and security principles
Nice to have: Knowledge of Platform Engineering and DevSecOps practices and tools, such as OpenShift, Podman, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, SonarQube and Git
Nice to have: TS/SCI clearance
Nice to have: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solution Architect Professional, or Google Cloud Architect Certification
