About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and implement secure cloud-based, mission-critical systems
  • Guide development of cloud-based security architectures for critical Air Force systems
  • Recommend tools and capabilities based on current-environment research and knowledge of on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources
  • Address Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements
  • Work with the Air Force to ensure information assurance and security standards are met
  • Secure customer environments using current cloud technologies
  • Mentor future cloud security experts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience evaluating system compliance using RMF or NIST and DevSecOps tools and methodologies
  • Experience deploying, configuring, or maintaining a government-approved security suite of cybersecurity tools and methods
  • Experience managing DevSecOps pipelines within GitLab
  • Experience with automated security scanning and compliance tools, including SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Trivy, KICS, or Checkmarx for SAST/DAST and infrastructure compliance
  • Experience with system hardening and secrets management
  • Experience securing cloud-deployable systems and container images
  • Experience architecting network and data flow diagrams
  • Experience compiling hardware and software bodies of evidence
  • Experience documenting Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPSM)
  • Experience evaluating and recommending cloud services, tools, and technologies to government organizations
  • Experience writing Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity field
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification, such as CompTIA Security+
  • Nice to have: experience with Docker
  • Nice to have: experience using Confluence or Jira
  • Nice to have: intermediate-level cloud computing certification such as CCSP, Certified AWS Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer Certification
