About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collect and organize data on leading-edge unmanned capabilities
  • Work with Navy operators and officers, engineers, autonomy and Navy test subject matter experts, analysts, developers, and data consumers
  • Merge systems engineering, test and evaluation, and cybersecurity data into organized, comprehensive data repositories
  • Support client and stakeholder relationships using technical knowledge and analytical expertise
  • Generate cross-functional solutions through collection, interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of large data sets
  • Provide timely, clear, and well-organized reports for various clients
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators
  • Create data visualizations using graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides
  • Drive large-scale business and process decisions through data insights

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience supporting data analysis and collection of U.S. Navy systems, commercial maritime systems, or unmanned systems
  • Knowledge of shipboard and maritime safety regulations
  • Ability to get underway and go to sea for up to two weeks at a time
  • Ability to participate in safety briefs such as pre-underway safety briefs
  • Ability to prepare metallurgical samples for failure analysis investigation
  • Ability to participate in at-sea and shoreside data collection events
  • Ability to prepare standard reports on failed components and assist in recommending corrective actions
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with data collection in either a Test and Evaluation (T&E) setting or a vehicle maintenance setting
  • Experience with Unmanned Maritime Systems such as Unmanned Surface Vessels, Unmanned Undersea Vessels, Remotely Operated Vessels, or Sea Gliders
  • Strong organizational skills
