About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Organize structured and unstructured data from disparate sources to help clients find answers and impact missions
  • Build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities
  • Develop and deploy pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data
  • Work with analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Support assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable client platforms
  • Develop scripts and programs to convert varied data into usable formats
  • Support project teams in scaling, monitoring, and operating data platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience within data engineering, data science, or pipeline development
  • Experience utilizing programming languages, including Python
  • Experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis
  • Experience developing scalable data pipelines or ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
  • Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats and support project teams to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
  • Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Nice to have: experience with PaaS and SaaS analytics workloads, including AWS EMR, Redshift, SageMaker, Databricks, or machine learning services
  • Nice to have: software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
  • Nice to have: distributed or parallel programming frameworks, including Apache Spark or NVIDIA CUDA
  • Nice to have: infrastructure as code frameworks and services, including Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Nice to have: presenting complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences and senior leaders
  • Nice to have: large-scale batch and stream analytics pipelines
  • Nice to have: integrated groups comprising customer success managers, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and software engineers
  • Nice to have: Master's degree in a listed technical field
  • Nice to have: cloud development certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Certification
  • Nice to have: information security certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certification
