Key responsibilities & impact

Build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on mission-driven projects
Develop and deploy pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data and make it meaningful
Work with analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment
Support the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable client platforms
Perform analytical exploration and data examination
Develop scripts and programs to convert various data types into usable formats
Support project teams in scaling, monitoring, and operating data platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of experience utilizing programming languages, including Python
Experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores that supply big data for business analysis
Experience developing scalable data pipelines or ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats
Ability to support project teams to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
Secret clearance required
Bachelor’s degree
Experience deploying analytics workloads on PaaS and SaaS, including AWS EMR, Redshift, SageMaker, Databricks, or machine learning services
Experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
Experience with distributed or parallel programming frameworks, including Apache Spark or NVIDIA CUDA
Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks and services, including Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience developing and presenting complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences and senior leaders
Experience developing and deploying large-scale batch and stream analytics pipelines
Experience working with integrated groups comprised of customer success managers, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and software engineers
Master’s degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
Cloud Development Certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Certification
Information Security Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certification
