About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Explore, clean, analyze, visualize, and mine data
- Analyze structured and unstructured data sources
- Develop predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualizations of targeted data sources
- Apply machine learning, artificial intelligence, or natural language processing
- Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs
- Investigate data-rich environments to identify useful information
- Develop algorithms and systems
- Select and combine appropriate tools and frameworks
- Convert disparate data points into objective answers that support informed client decisions
- Provide deep understanding of data, its meaning, and potential uses
- Create real-world impact across private and public sectors, including fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
- Experience using Python for data analysis
- Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
- Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources
- Experience with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
- Secret clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Nice to have: Experience developing algorithms using R, SAS, SQL, or NoSQL
- Nice to have: Experience with distributed data and computing tools, including Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, or MySQL
- Nice to have: Knowledge of discreet event simulation, Monte Carlo simulation, and agent-based modeling
- Nice to have: Experience with visualization packages, including Contour, Vertex, Workshop, or Grafana
- Nice to have: Experience with U.S. Army or DoW datasets
- Nice to have: Master’s degree
