About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Unlock complex structured and unstructured data sets to solve global challenges
- Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs
- Analyze data-rich environments and identify relevant information
- Develop algorithms and systems
- Select and apply appropriate tools and frameworks
- Transform disparate data points into objective answers
- Provide insights into data meaning and practical use to support informed client decisions
- Apply data science across private and public sectors, including fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
- Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis, including Python
- Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
- Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, or visualization of targeted data sources
- Knowledge of machine learning, AI, or Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Knowledge of text mining or machine learning techniques
- Secret clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience developing algorithms leveraging R, Python, SQL, or NoSQL
- 2+ years of experience with distributed data or computing tools, including Databricks, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Apache Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL
- 2+ years of experience with machine learning, AI, or NLP
- Experience with Palantir Foundry
- Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is a preferred qualification
- Master’s degree is a preferred qualification
