About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement digital signal processing for RF sensing, detecting, and responding systems
  • Develop and demonstrate new electromagnetic spectrum and electronic warfare capabilities
  • Work on signal receive and blind demodulation, signal isolation and identification, waveform and complex signal generation, and adaptive techniques
  • Develop initial implementations of emerging ideas for Electromagnetic Spectrum Battle Management
  • Implement radio communication capabilities in a lab environment
  • Deliver functionality demonstrations to clients
  • Demonstrate state-of-the-art techniques to guide client understanding of future capabilities
  • Support Department of Defense clients through research and development
  • Help define future electromagnetic spectrum and electronic warfare capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with wireless communications systems and signal processing theory and application
  • Experience with Linux, C, C++, or Rust
  • Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR) toolkits and standards such as GNU Radio and Ettus UHD
  • Experience with signal processing techniques and RF theory
  • Experience with embedded software development, code optimization, and multi-threading
  • Knowledge of DSP and DSP algorithm development
  • Ability to travel regionally up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Experience with machine learning techniques, implementation, and signal classification
  • Experience with ARM microprocessors
  • Experience with RF equipment and testbeds, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
  • Experience with signal, waveform, and technique development tools such as MATLAB or LabVIEW
  • Experience with Git and the Agile Software Development process
  • Experience with FPGAs and VHDL or Verilog
  • Top Secret clearance
