About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement and operate next generation security solutions for government and commercial clients
- Perform hands-on evaluation, implementation, and operation of security cyber defense tools and technologies
- Apply defense strategies to large and complex networks to identify vulnerabilities and threats, prioritize response actions, and develop countermeasures
- Lead a team engineering solutions for customers using network engineering, Active Directory, and system administration knowledge
- Develop relationships with other teams and communicate security complexities to audiences including senior management
- Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including detection, vulnerability capabilities, and event correlation
- Contribute to risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application areas
- Use big data analytics and traditional security events to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise
- Work with Booz Allen teams to secure sensitive government capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience performing systems administration for Windows or Linux
- Experience with deployment or daily maintenance of ForeScout CounterACT appliances
- Experience architecting and designing IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies
- Experience with network engineering, including ports, switches, LANs, VLANs, network firewalls/appliances, Active Directory, guest LANs, and domain management
- Knowledge of multidomain architectures, including data center, WAN, and LAN, in virtualized architectures
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Associate’s degree and 10+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of start date
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification within 30 days of start date
- Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, frameworks, authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes
- Ability to install and deploy ForeScout in a multidomain customer environment
- Ability to integrate cybersecurity data using enterprise or custom tools, including Splunk
- Ability to provide Tier II IT operations and maintenance support
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- TS/SCI clearance is required
