About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and deploy next-generation Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) ground systems capabilities
- Develop and execute system integration plans for space and ground systems
- Lead and support integration activities at the system-of-systems, system, segment, and element levels
- Research new requirements, technologies, and threats
- Use innovative integration methodologies and tools to integrate remote sensing systems
- Deliver critical information and warfighter capabilities
- Identify, analyze, and draft mitigation plans for program cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Author program-level systems engineering, cybersecurity, risk, and issue management documentation
- Lead or support large-scale System of Systems integration and interface definition
- Manage and track tasks, deadlines, and risks while coordinating with schedulers and Scrum Masters
- Coordinate, collaborate, and brief military leaders, government civilians, and cross-contractor integration teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in DoD acquisition of weapon systems, including program management, systems engineering, or integration focused on space or ground segment capabilities
- Experience identifying, analyzing, and drafting mitigation plans for program cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Experience with IBM DOORS, Cameo or MagicDraw for MBSE, Jira, Confluence, and standard office productivity suites
- Experience authoring systems engineering plans, cybersecurity strategy, and risk and issue management plans
- Experience leading or supporting large-scale System of Systems integration, ICD interface definitions, requirements definition or derivation, and enterprise-level technical baseline management
- Experience managing and tracking tasks, coordinating with schedulers and Scrum Masters
- Experience coordinating, collaborating, and briefing military leaders, government civilians, and cross-contractor integration teams
- Knowledge of the end-to-end system life cycle, including concept development, CONOPS, architecture, requirements allocation, design, build, testing, transition to operations, and sustainment
- Secret clearance required
- Associate’s degree in a STEM field such as Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
- Experience supporting USSF, SSC, or SDA space or ground architectures, including missile warning, missile tracking, or OPIR
- Experience with modern DevSecOps pipelines, Agile frameworks, microservices, cloud environments, and containerized architectures
- Experience with strategic missile warning architecture, its programs, and supporting organizations
- Experience with ground antenna, networking, distributed systems, or data orchestration
- Knowledge of DoD 5000 series, Middle Tier of Acquisition, and milestone review processes such as SRR, PDR, and CDR
- TS/SCI clearance, advanced certifications, and Master’s degree are nice to have
