Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, prototype, and deliver innovative hardware solutions
  • Collaborate with experienced electronics engineers and cross-functional teams on complex hardware challenges
  • Develop custom circuit boards
  • Integrate hardware, software, firmware, and commercial and custom electronic components
  • Analyze current and future technologies
  • Analyze existing designs, including reverse engineering
  • Develop new electrical designs
  • Support prototyping and manufacturing
  • Conduct testing
  • Ruggedize systems for extreme environments, including space, ground, and underwater applications
  • Support mission-critical defense and advanced technology initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with printed circuit board (PCB) design
  • Experience supporting or conducting test events in laboratory, prototyping, or field environments
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, electronic loads, and spectrum analyzers
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing electrical drawings, diagrams, and schematics
  • Knowledge of basic engineering principles applied to hardware design and product development
  • Ability to develop technical documentation, including 2D technical drawings or schematics, 3D models, and written technical documentation
  • Ability to collaborate with integrated product delivery teams
  • Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Experience with Altium for PCB design
  • Experience with fabrication, assembly, and integration of electromechanical prototype ground, space, maritime, or military systems
  • Experience in lab-based developmental testing and test data acquisition
  • Knowledge of programming, including C or C++
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, including FPGA development, firmware development, or hardware/software integration
  • Knowledge of product design for manufacturability, reliability, maintainability, and hardware operation in extreme environments
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree
  • EIT or PE Certification
