About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop advanced systems across defense, civilian, and space domains
- Support advanced system design, testing, and evaluation
- Combine physics-based modeling, AI/ML techniques, and platform engineering expertise
- Ensure models run efficiently across cloud and on-premises environments
- Integrate models into federated digital engineering ecosystems
- Design, develop, and evolve customer-focused engineering solutions
- Apply model-based design, model-based systems engineering, digital engineering, and technical analysis
- Create digital engineering solutions that drive missions
- Provide technical mentorship and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Lead validation, testing, and evaluation against ground-truth data and quantify resilience under contested conditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience developing high-fidelity physics-based models and simulations
- Experience with UML, SysML, or UAF tools such as Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw, or Rational Rhapsody
- Experience with requirements and architecture development across the systems development lifecycle
- Experience integrating models and simulations within an orchestration pipeline
- Experience with technical mentorship and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience performing analysis studies in an M&S environment
- Secret clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Science, or Technology field
- Experience with design of experiments, ANOVA, and other statistical tests
- Experience with computational or agent-based modeling and ML integration
- Experience with Python, C++, or C# for simulation workflows
- Experience with the Ansys Software Suite, including ModelCenter, STK, and ODTK
- Experience in defense M&S or mission engineering programs
- Experience leading validation, testing, and evaluation by benchmarking against ground-truth data
- Knowledge of platform engineering and deployment across AWS, Azure, Cloud One, and on-premises HPC clusters
- Knowledge of multi-domain operations
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization, or orchestration
- INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification such as CSEP or ASEP Certification
