About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete site surveys and create structured network designs supporting voice, data, security, and audiovisual systems
- Design engineered drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams, project teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and technical resources
- Analyze business and technical requirements to develop system designs, estimates, implementation plans, and management and customer reports
- Coordinate structured cabling design with other design disciplines
- Implement network solutions supporting on-premises and cloud environments
- Manage production of network devices and network architecture designs
- Develop supporting documentation required for implementation in a global network
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with network engineering
- Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP and OSPF
- Experience with SD-WAN
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience with networking technologies and core Internet protocols, wireless, and distributed networks
- Experience with multiple vendors' networking solutions, including Cisco, HP, Aruba, Palo Alto, Arista, and Juniper
- Experience with cloud technologies and services, including AWS and Azure
- Experience designing, configuring, provisioning, and deploying network-layer solutions
- Knowledge of structured cabling and installation standards
