About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide direct quantum support in a laboratory or agile software development environment
- Apply software engineering expertise to problem-solving, design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge quantum systems
- Identify and grow technical collaborations that form the foundation of engineering advancements
- Identify new growth areas for quantum and artificial intelligence businesses
- Establish go-to-market strategies
- Lead and manage teams of scientists, engineers, or developers
- Manage multi-organization collaborations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in laboratory or agile software development environments
- Experience in data science, data engineering, or artificial intelligence
- Experience managing multi-organization collaborations
- Experience with Python, C, C++, or Rust
- Experience leading and managing teams of scientists, engineers, or developers
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in data analytics, computer science, software development, quantum technology, product management, or technology entrepreneurship, OR Master's degree and 3+ years of experience in those fields
- Security investigation and eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Nice to have: experience establishing multi-organization collaborations
- Nice to have: experience with vendor vetting and relationship management
- Nice to have: experience in quantum materials, qubit control, or related quantum information science
- Nice to have: doctorate degree in Physics, Materials Science, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
