About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain system-level requirements for RF collection, geolocation, digital radio frequency memory, and special communications systems
  • Ensure traceability from mission concept of operations through subsystem specifications
  • Conduct trade studies and analyses to evaluate design alternatives, performance margins, and technical feasibility
  • Perform advanced RF design modeling using electromagnetic and RF simulation tools
  • Optimize performance, signal integrity, and link budgets
  • Lead concept development, system architecture, and detailed design of integrated RF systems
  • Connect custom hardware modules with software-defined radio and digital signal processing layers
  • Drive integration, testing, and debugging across hardware, firmware, and operating systems
  • Author test plans and lead system validation and verification of requirements
  • Serve as the primary technical interface for multidisciplinary teams and government clients
  • Provide strategic mentorship to junior engineers
  • Support risk identification, mitigation planning, and technical performance measurement tracking throughout the program lifecycle
  • Develop RF collection, geolocation, and electronic warfare systems and evolve them with advanced technology solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in RF engineering and systems engineering focused on the design, development, integration, and testing of custom or COTS-based RF hardware and software systems
  • Experience with advanced RF simulation platforms such as Ansys STK, HFSS, FEKO, or MATLAB
  • Experience with link budgets and link analysis
  • Experience with RF hardware designs and DSP algorithms
  • Experience leading Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), test readiness reviews, and final acceptance test reviews
  • Experience performing trade studies or analysis of alternatives
  • Experience creating marketing whitepapers, proposal technical volume materials, and project technical reports
  • Knowledge of engineering documentation processes, including creating systems requirements documents and test plans
  • Ability to present technical solutions clearly to stakeholders
  • TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) principles, SDRs, and open standards such as SOSA and VITA
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering is a nice-to-have
  • AI assistance during interviews is prohibited unless permission is explicitly provided
