About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the client’s international initiatives to acquire, deliver, and sustain a capable F-35 training program for U.S. Services, partner nations, and FMS customers at CONUS or OCONUS sites
  • Directly support the Training Systems and Simulation (TSS) PMO and Product Support Management (PSM) teams
  • Lead, plan, or support site activation meetings, site readiness reviews, and integrated support engagements
  • Drive and achieve PSM support objectives, including lifecycle support, site surveys, activation planning, contract requirements, working groups, and facility design
  • Interface with the client
  • Review artifacts such as FRDs, WSPDs, and bed down plans
  • Develop program strategy and eliminate risks across projects
  • Help keep the F-35 program on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with program leadership, colleagues, clients, partner nations, and international stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience working with DoD projects and civil or facilities engineering projects
  • Experience with U.S. services or international clients and their projects
  • Experience supporting aircraft facility, hangar, or training site design reviews and site activation
  • Experience reviewing, assessing, or developing Facility Requirements Documents (FRDs), Weapon System Planning Documents (WSPDs), or bed down plans
  • Knowledge of pilot training system acquisition principles, policies, and practices
  • Knowledge of pilot training system equipment lifecycle phases
  • Knowledge of federal laws and DoD regulations dealing with acquisition, logistics, and FMS
  • Ability to work with pilot training systems or full mission simulators hardware components and interpret complex numerical and written data
  • Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Nice-to-have: 10+ years of experience working with DoD projects
  • Nice-to-have: Experience working with foreign counterparts
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with integration analysis for F-35 acquisition or logistics and sustainment
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of aircraft, weapon systems, training, and program management
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Security Assistance and Security Cooperation programs, including the FMS sales process
  • Nice-to-have: Ability to prepare and present verbal and written presentations to government and industry management
  • Nice-to-have: Ability to speak, read, and write in a foreign language
  • Nice-to-have: Excellent diplomatic skills
